This week was cooking week at REES.

We made party food.

Potato skins, potato cakes (like pancakes) and spicy chicken meatballs.

It was really delicious. And fun.

And very yummy English!

Now that's small!

When I first moved to Japan many of my friends wanted to know about my house. In Australia Japanese houses have a reputation for being very small. Very high tech but very small.

The smallest house I've been to in Japan was a friend's one room apartment in Osaka. It was so small she didn't even have a bath! But it was an apartment, not a house.

Have a look at this picture:

The green building in the middle? It's a house... It's 1.8m wide and 6.4m long. Wow....

Could you live in a house that small? I don't think I could!

Before it was a house it was a donkey stables.

I'm not sure what is worse- a house that is 1.8m wide or a house that used to be a donkey stables!

I'm moving to Pluto!

年末年始お休みのお知らせ

年末年始お休みのお知らせです。

１２月２３日(水)～１月４日(月)
までお休みとなります。

年始は１月５日（火曜日)からスクールがオープンとなりますので、
それまで皆さん元気で楽しいクリスマス、よいお年をお迎えください。
なお１月１１日(月)は祝日ですが、スクールはオープンしていますので、
どうぞよろしくお願いします。
また年明け元気なお顔で皆さんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

今年も早いもので、あと半月となりました。
１月はすぐ来月なのに、来年と思うと遠い感じがして、なかなか来年のことはまだ考えられないのは、
私だけでしょうか？！
ところで、早速ですが、来月１月のクッキングクラスのお知らせです。

場所：田川公民館（渚ライフサイト近く）
メニュー：チリビーンズ、コーンマフィン
講師：ヘザー　フカセ
費用：２，０００円

無料託児付き(別室)です。お気軽にお申し込みください。
毎回人数も少しずつ増え、楽しい２時間を過ごしているようです。

Christmas Party

１２月１２日はリチャーズ　イージー　イングリッシュ　スクールズのクリスマスパーティーでした。
お越し頂いた皆様、ありがとうございました。
帰り際には『楽しかったです』と、何人もの方からおっしゃって頂き、私たちスタッフもとても嬉しかったです。
リチャードはパーティーがとても好きなので、皆さんからのこういう声を聞くことが嬉しくて、また来年もがんばろうと思います。
美味しいお菓子を沢山食べて、楽しいゲームをして、素敵な歌を聞いて、サンタさんにも会えて、楽しいひと時を過ごすことができました。
クリスマスまで、あと２週間ですが、サンタさんにプレゼントのお願いはしましたか？

December Cooking Class

This month we are going to make Christmas sweets.

In Australia many people bake cookies and slices at Christmas and swap them with their friends.

We are going to make rumballs and gingerbread cookies.

Here are some my daughters made last year.

So if you're free December 10th come along and make some Christmas goodies with us!
